is a a full-service youth and community development organization dedicated to redefining out-of-school-time (OST) and afterschool experiences across New York City.

We believe every child deserves access to safe, dynamic, and transformative learning spaces that nurture their potential beyond the classroom.
With over 50 years of combined experience in education, youth empowerment, and community engagement, our team; supported by leading educational and human services partners, radiates as a beacon of hope and opportunity in underserved communities.

OURhistory
Born from Passion. Built on Purpose.
GLOW Zone emerged from a collective of educators, youth development professionals, and community advocates determined to transform how young people learn and grow beyond the classroom.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our founder witnessed severe learning loss and widening opportunity gaps; especially in marginalized urban communities. In response, GLOW Zone was born from a shared belief that investing in children through afterschool and enrichment programs is one of the most powerful tools for community transformation.
Although our formal inception is recent, our journey spans decades. Our founding team and partners have collectively served in public schools, community boards, and youth organizations across New York and Philadelphia, bringing more than five decades of expertise to this mission of helping young people learn, lead, and thrive.
